Illiquid product sales management

Situation
The major industrial holding unites enterprises of different profiles. The enterprises within the holding produce a wide spectrum of production: home appliances, connection hardware, medical equipment, producer goods and raw materials. The economic complex of the holding is one of the biggest in the Republic and includes industrial objects, areas and equipment.
The process of renewing manufacturing holding company facilities releases a significant number of objects — from furniture to special-purpose operating equipment. It decreases the cost of written-off objects, which in many cases they are still usable. Therefore, the sales office of the holding company faces the problems of assessment and following sales of illiquid goods.
Key objectives:
- To generate a convenient mechanism to gather and store data on illiquid production in the holding single database
- To develop the system of directories on production owners and customers
- To formalize and optimize illiquid production estimation, customers orders processing, sales registration
- To coordinate work of illiquid production sales managers
- To automate reporting on managers performance and goods movement.
Solution

Analyzing the task, Business Software decided to implement the illiquid products database on the basis of the C-Gator software already implemented in the enterprise without additional software development.
A separate domain was created in the system; it contains a database as well as a separate system of rights and roles for the users who work with the system. The users can operate with the system via web interface from any computer connected to the company's network.

Every database element has a set of parameters. The following information about each product is stored in the database:
- Identification number and location on the holding territory
- Balance, repair and depreciated costs
- An owner (an enterprise of the holding) and a responsible person
- Properties characterizing technical condition of production
A user with appropriate rights can set products parameters. Thus, a goods editor sets information about technical properties of goods, a valuator specifies costs. |

The unlimited number of purchase requests can be generated for each database position. A buyer and production costs are specified in each request. A user having the “editor of order” role enters requests.
Production requests entered and selected can be transferred to the “registration” status. A request is integrated with the 1С system functioning within the company. The 1C system issues a production sale and commands the C-Gator system to assign the “sold” status to the production. Each position and performed operations are automatically attached to a manager (a user who creates a request and draws sale). |

The system automatically issues the report displaying operations with certain production performed by each manager for a certain period. Thus, the system allows control of each managerэs performance in illiquid production sales.
The system issues the production movement report the same way. It reflects current statuses, estimated and actual prices of each database position for a certain period.
Presently the application is successfully implemented at Aksion company.
